Empowering Young People Through Road Safety Education

The Automobile Club of Moldova recently held a working meeting at the Ministry of Education and Research of the Republic of Moldova within the framework of the project “Safe Generation – Education and Action for Safer Roads”.

The discussions focused on the alarming challenges of road trauma and mortality among adolescents and young people, the need for intersectoral solutions, and the importance of strengthening road safety education across schools and youth centers nationwide.

A central point of the meeting was the presentation of an interactive educational module that will soon be implemented as part of the project. Designed for trainers, youth workers, and initiative groups, this module will serve as a practical resource for organizing educational sessions on road safety.

The module will include:

  • ·         content tailored for young people aged 14 to 35;
  • ·         PowerPoint presentations, texts, and thematic video spots;
  • ·         practical materials to promote safe behavior as pedestrians, passengers, and cyclists.

With the support of the Ministry of Education and Research, the materials will be distributed to all educational institutions and youth centers in Moldova, helping to organize local activities with the active involvement of young people.

The Automobile Club of Moldova expresses gratitude to institutional partners for their openness and commitment to supporting this national educational effort.

This activity is part of the project “Safe Generation – Education and Action for Safer Roads”, implemented by the Automobile Club of Moldova with the support of the National Youth Agency, in partnership with the FIA, FIA Foundation, EASST, the Global Alliance of NGOs for Road Safety, and the Police of the Republic of Moldova.
